Time frame structure for relay scheduling. The figure shows frame demarcation and other framework assumptions. For example, three dedicated time frames which are assigned for the users of two relay sets and a macro base station are shown. Feeder link data are sent from the macro base station to the relays for in-band relaying. Inter-frame scheduling refers to the opportunistic assignment of any free bandwidth in a frame to another link.
